Inevitable Collapse: AI Is Not Magic — And That’s Why It Is Misunderstood

AI is becoming something people are starting to distrust. This is not new. Every technology takes time to be accepted. But with AI, the gap runs deeper.

Not because of what it is — but because of how it is perceived.

  • Anxiety caused by misunderstanding social compatibility
  • Lack of defined usage, even from developers
  • Infrastructure limitations
  • The gap between expectation and reality

These are the reasons.

Anxiety Caused by Misunderstanding

AI is often treated as a science fiction concept.

People imagine autonomy.
Free will. Something beyond control.

None of this exists.

All current AI systems are advanced computers.
Nothing more.

They do not act on their own.
They respond.
They have no independent will.
No agency.
They start.
They stop.
They process input.
Nothing else.

It looks human.
That’s the problem.

Because of that, people project something that isn’t there.

Those who understand immediately recognize it as a highly sophisticated algorithm.
But this science fiction narrative is deeply ingrained.

Even among companies that publish information about AI.

Lack of Defined Usage — Even by Developers

This is a structural problem.

Developers understand how their systems work.
But they often fail to define how those systems should be used.

When Sora was introduced, expectations were at their peak.
But usage design was incomplete. From a professional perspective, Storyboard was an excellent tool. However, the example prompts shown were not suitable for actual video generation.

They described images.
They did not define production.

Many users assumed those prompts were correct. The result was predictable.

  • “It cannot maintain character consistency”
  • “It cannot create proper animation”
  • “It breaks”

These are not failures of the system.

The system was not the problem.
The usage was never defined.

Infrastructure Limitations

AI is not just software.
It is infrastructure.

Energy consumption, cloud cost, and scalability are unresolved problems.

Even now, many companies are not operating at a stable profit.
This creates instability.

Systems may evolve. Or disappear. Users are expected to build on that uncertainty.
That is a real risk.

Subscription models assume continuity.
But continuity is not guaranteed.
That calculation is unclear.

The Gap Between Expectation and Reality

AI entered society as a “magic tool.”

That was the mistake.

It is not something anyone can use correctly by default.
It is not about convenience.
It is not a replacement for human capability.

As stated earlier, AI has no free will.
It operates entirely within human direction.
It can assist you. It will not lead you. That is its nature.

These factors are interconnected.
As a result, public perception is beginning to shift. And this situation requires proper definition.

As a user who has worked extensively with AI systems, I have seen both its limits and its potential.
Not as fiction. But as structure.

AI is not magic.
It is not humanity’s enemy.

It is a high-performance system — not just a calculator. And it will continue to spread. That is inevitable.
